Election Information

Council Members serve four year terms:

• The Primary Election is held on the last Tuesday of July

• The General Election is held on the 1st Tuesday of November

• Special Elections may be held as needed

• Elections are held during even number years with 3 or 4 seats being filled each election (4 seats in 2024, 3 seats in 2026)

• Following a regular city election, the council shall meet on the following Tuesday for the purpose of choosing a mayor from among its membership, appointing the regular appointed officers, and transacting such other business as they deem necessary.

PLEASE BE ADVISED OF COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE

As per Ordinance 19-05 of the Mayor and Council of the City of South Tucson, the new schedule of regular meetings of the Council are the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m.
