PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH TUCSON

Notice is hereby given that the CITY OF SOUTH TUCSON will hold elections as follows:

*Primary Election: July 30, 2024

General Election: November 5, 2024 (if needed)

City Council Member seats to be filled: Four, 4-year terms

Information and candidate packets are available online at https://www.southtucsonaz.gov/elections or at the CITY OF SOUTH TUCSON, City Clerk’s Office, 1601 South 6th Avenue, South Tucson, AZ 85713.

Candidate Packet Filing Deadline: 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2024

Candidate packets must be filed with the City of South Tucson City Clerk’s Office, 1601 South 6th Avenue, South Tucson, AZ 85713.

Voter Registration Deadlines:

July 1, 2024, for the July 30, 2024, Primary Election

October 7, 2024, for the November 5, 2024, General Election

*A candidate receiving a majority of all votes cast, as defined by law, at the Primary Election will be declared elected without running at the General Election if requirements are met under A.R.S. § 9-821.01 and A.R.S. § 16-645.

Ciudad de Sur Tucson por medio del presente avisa que realizará elecciones como sigue: 

*Elección Primaria: 30 de julio de 2024

 Elección General: 5 de noviembre de 2024 (si es necesario)

Los puestos de miembros del Concejo Municipal por cubrir: Cuatro mandatos de 4 años

La información y la solicitud para los candidatos están disponibles en línea en https://www.southtucsonaz.gov/elections o acuda al Ciudad de Sur Tucson, Secretaría Municipal, 1601 South 6th Avenue, South Tucson, AZ 85713.

Fecha límite para someter la solicitud del candidato: lunes 1 de abril de 2024 a las 5:00 p. m.

La solicitud para la candidatura debe presentarse en el Departamento de la Secretaría Municipal de Ciudad de Sur Tucson, 1601 S 6th Avenue, South Tucson, AZ 85713.

Fechas límite para el registro de votantes:

Para la elección primaria del 30 de julio de 2024, el 1 de julio de 2024

Para las elecciones generales del 5 de noviembre de 2024, el 15 de octubre de 2024

*Un candidato que reciba la mayoría de todos los votos emitidos, de acuerdo con lo establecido por ley, será declarado electo en la Elección General sin que sea postulado para la Elección General siempre que los requisitos establecidos en el A.R.S. § 9-821.01 y A.R.S. § 16-645 sean cumplidos.
